Plus Size Barbie

from today's Huffington Post
Here is a Polish Doll Called "Ken's Aunt"...

She is one of the few plus size Barbie dolls on the market offered to girls AND we have met Francie from Oese, the doll made from the John Travolta character in the movie "Hairspray". I would call her plus size.  Do you know of any other Plus Size Fashion dolls (now there an oxymoron...)? You Have to love that doll's serious underware... what kind of message does THAT send.

Ok my favorite comment about the article is from Judgement of Paris who says, Maybe they ought to make a doll called "Carbie" :0 CM

  4. I really love what she wears. What's the name of it? My mother wore such "Hüfthalter" when I was little. The translation would be hipholder.
My doll Fran is much bigger than this Barbie, but I like her body too.
    Thanks for sharing this.

  5. The panty girdle is priceless. Do they still wear those in Poland? Or is is supposed to be sexy? The head does look like a Sindy. What a doll!

  12. Ken's Aunt was created by polish artist Zbigniew Libera (http://raster.art.pl/gallery/artists/libera/prace.htm). Unfortunately dolls were not sold in stores ;)
And no, oh no, we do not dress that way in Poland :D
