Decisions, decisions

You may have read that I want a Peter Tucker chair to go with the walnut  Renfroe Naguchi cofee table, and the brown confetti patterned Minimodernista couch by Doris Nathanson. I also have a vintage DDR floor lamp and 2 orange pharmacy lamps by Doris for the room.

There is a choice of color for the leather seat, black, brown or tan. Which do you think would work best with furniture below?
Could the tan bring out thesquares in the couch?Or would the black tie in with the livingroom?
Brown is good. It is a room with natural wood to contrast with the chrome of the livingroom and the vintage DDR linnoleum in the kitchen ties in the dark brown wood.
It is for the MH1 which has a red couch in the livingroom.

How cool is it I have a choice? Would your average designer give you this freedom? Peter, you are FUN to work with. (of course you too Paris, and Doris...couldn't do a room wihout you!) What do you think?Decisions, decisions! C

  1. If I understood correctly- than I recommend the chair and the transparent lamp. You could try a different background which would let the furniture colors play.
    Good luck

  2. Tan Tan Tan! I think it ties in the light wood from the Noguchi coffee table and (like you said) the little squares in the couch.

  5. I agree with Mini Dork, I would go for tan for the reason she mentioned and since the chair is black too, a black seat can be difficult to see on pictures.

  7. I think I'd say tan to go with these pieces of furniture - but I'm not sure what shade of brown it would be. Is the seat back the colour in the picture, with a choice of leather colours for the seat? If the brown leather would be the same as the brown back, I'd definitely go tan with this furniture. All brown has a different feel to it, to me - more staid, less fun, somehow. But then, you could use cushions to lighten it up.

  8. Oh good point! I have great pillows in the confetti pattern too. Conservatively I think the brown seat would match the chair back and disappear, and blend it with anything. ? C
