Look what came in the mail while the Elder Assistant was getting herself married. I am intimidated by the instructions.
The other modern chairs want to play (Bouloum chair by pinchofpepper, phantom chair, wedding favor)
Is there a Bay Area self help group for putting these chairs together, will provide alcohol... C
You'll need the booze! Actually, it is not hard at all if you systematically follow the letters and numbers. Don't make the same mistake I did -- I started to put in the horizontal pieces across the chair, when I should have started withe the vertical ones. And don't press down to hard -- I split two of the pieces.
ReplyDeleteWOW,WOW,WOW, adore that chair....
ReplyDeleteOMG Call small!I am intimidated...
ReplyDeleteHey did you see the article in the Paris Review I put on Myrealitty, about the collector Hughette Clark. I think it references you. Add it to your list of mentions! Tres chic! C
Yes Kikka if I EVER GET IT TOGETHER... I cannot even attempt it today! xo CM
ReplyDeleteI would be there in the blink of an eye - with wine - if I didn't live thousands of miles away. CallSmall has kind of intimidated me too. Horizontal? Vertical? split pieces? Oh My. Maybe you should have the wine after you build the chair.
ReplyDeletePerhaps, before, during and after? Covering all bases,
ReplyDeleteI am counting on hearing from my fearless Bay Area cohorts... but so far... nothing. The fact that 2 of them have new Kindergarteners may have something to do with that... C
Good Luck to you with the chair. Hope you can get it together.
ReplyDeleteHa ha Come visit and we can try it together! Do you like California? C
ReplyDeleteI am totally there to help- just give me a week!
ReplyDeleteOh Yeah! with all the excitement I forgot you were flying home for your sister's 30th birthday!!!! Yay the calvary is coming!!!!! C
ReplyDeleteLa Petite, my Elder Asistant. I think it is really funny that just because you got married I forgot you would be coming home again... It is such an adjustment for a Mama.
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! :)
ReplyDeleteDale, after the first of the year I will be on your side of the continent and would love to meet up! Cheers CM
ReplyDeleteLa Petite,
ReplyDeleteI just want to point out your WERE in town and the chair is still not put together..."Liar, liar, pants on fire...." Oh wait.
Q: Is that appropriate or a mother to say to her honeymoonig daughter???
A: Yes if she needs more little assistants! C
CM, that would be so awesome! :)
