Call of the Small in Princeton

Susan and I were graciously welcomed into the home of Christine Ferrara the blogger Call of the Small. What a joy! Seeing how each mini designer organizes her work and accessories around her life is amazing especially when children and careers are thrown into the mix.

photo by Susan Hale as SOMEBODY forgot to charge her battery overnight!
Call Small has been wildly sucessful, published in the New York Times about the mini design phenonemon, and recently Ladies Home Journal Magazine. Her work is cutting edge and she owns an incredible collection of mid-century and modern furniture.

  3. Thanks, gals! And look at me in my lovely utility room with pipes and grime!!! It was a pleasure meeting you both and I really appreciate that you made the trip. Do I have permission to post the photo of your rental car?!? :) By the way, as much as I like the name, I am Christine, not Christina. Also, Ferrara, not Ferrera. But I forgive you ;)

  5. Carol and I had such a lovely time visiting Call of the Small. It was fun to finally meet her and to see her wonderful room settings in person. And when we left, she gave us each a delightful mini presents. We are so spoiled by our mini friends.
Christine, thank you, and I hope we meet again soon.

  6. Bummer! I got home to California yesterday at 3:43 am due to a 7 hr delay (on the runway, they had to legally return to the gate after 3 hrs to let any one off who wanted to leave,) There were 12 planes atacked up before us and we could see the lightening in the horizon. It was a bumpy ride over the south and I gather there were many tornadoes on the ground. Feel rather lucky to have returned to my homes sweet homes. So I just got to editing your name. Thanks for the darling shoes they are gladiator style, so chic (1:12) size by the way... C
